Laura Pyper, Christopher's girlfriend - well her lastest movie has just been released - it's called Headrush, and it going down pretty well (it's won a shit load of awards). We haven't had a chance to go see it yet but we'll sort that out this weekend and I'll post my own mini-review.

Alienware Part II

Well the reason my system was delayed for almost a month was because they were 'stock taking'. For a month? What a load of crap. Anyhow my system has magically jumped the queue and was shipped today.

RANT: Alienware Sucks!

At the beginning of June I ordered a brand new Alienware gaming system for Diarmuid. It looks really cool and its spec would suggest it is comprised of quality components. It's a little more expensive than say a Dell XPS but I'm a big fan of supporting the underdog especially when they try to do something a little different.

Well - more the fool me. I'm still waiting for the system and a call to their helpdesk confirmed that the system hadn't been built yet (as I knew from all their stupid status emails) and they had no idea why. NO IDEA WHY! The system was ordered and paid for almost a month ago!

I'm afraid it looks bad for Alienware - if this is how they build relationships with customers I give them 6 months at most (operating from Ireland anyhow - they are based in Athlone). I don't care how good the system is - if they don't tell me where my order is by this evening I'm going to can the order and get the Dell. Perhaps I should have paid more attention to 24 - did you notice that the bad guys were using Alienware laptops and all the good guys were using Dells? And the bad guys never win so hmmm.... Shit.

Dunbrody - New Ross

We were down in Bunclody with our friends John and Brenda this weekend. We decided to head down to New Ross to take a tour of the Dunbrody (a recontruction of a ship used during the famine) which is supposed to be open to visitors (according to their website) only to find that it is closed for maintenance for the tall ships festival down in Waterford next week - I suppose she has to look her best if she's going to meet that lot :) There will be again in it that's for sure.

Eoin & Diarmuid

Eoin & Diarmuid excited and delighted to be in New Ross. Diarmuid has developed an interesting new look recently - ape. What do you think? (BTW: Eoin is John & Brenda's son).

Triona's 30th Birthday Party

Got Jomani out on to the river today for the first time this year. After getting some exterior work we are delighted to be cruising again and she's looking great and going even better.
